A full brand refresh and website upgrade for a cognitive care organisation.

THE BRIEF

Helping Sensus Cognition translate clinical expertise into a calm, human-centred digital experience.

Sensus Cognition is an Adelaide-based cognitive assessment and therapy service, led by GPs specialising in memory and neuropsychological care. They work with individuals, carers, and professionals to provide clarity, compassion, and practical support for people experiencing cognitive changes.

When we first met the team, they had an existing website that was information-heavy and a little clinical in tone. It didn’t yet reflect the warmth and accessibility that defined their in-person care. They wanted a refreshed identity — something that would make the science approachable, the process less intimidating, and the user journey clearer for their three distinct audiences:

  • individuals seeking assessment,

  • carers looking for guidance, and

  • health professionals referring patients.

THE PROJECT

Rebuild and integrate.

digital yarn worked closely with the Sensus Cognition team to re-imagine their brand identity and website from the ground up.

We began by developing a brand guidelines document to align tone, colour, and typography with their values — calm, clear, professional, and empathetic. The visual identity was built around soft contrast, legible sans-serifs, and enough warmth to stand apart from sterile medical branding without losing authority.

Once the brand foundations were locked in, we rebuilt the entire website, rewriting and restructuring the content to speak directly to each audience group. We simplified complex medical language, prioritised readability, and re-organised navigation around real user needs.

The final product balances scientific credibility with emotional connection, blending subtle animation, generous white space, and carefully chosen photography to create a reassuring, human-centred experience.

We also helped implement a streamlined booking process and integrated third-party referral workflows, ensuring the site didn’t just look better but worked better. The result is a platform that guides visitors intuitively toward the next step, whether that’s booking a consultation, learning about services, or referring a patient.
